Apply for services
Vipps MobilePay offers services to merchants in Denmark, Finland, and Norway.
Who can apply
To apply for Vipps MobilePay services, you need:
- A registered business with a valid organization number in Denmark, Finland, or Norway
- A business bank account in the same country as your organization
- Electronic identification (eID) to sign the merchant agreement
See: Sales units & account setup for information about organization numbers and legal entities.
How to apply
Submit a merchant agreement application through the business portal:
During the application process:
- Sign the merchant agreement using your eID
- Select the services you want to offer (you can add more later)
- Provide your business and bank account information
The person who submits and signs the merchant agreement automatically becomes the administrator for your business portal account and will be responsible for managing user access, delegating roles, and overseeing merchant account settings.
Checking the status
Go to portal.vippsmobilepay.com to check the status of your application.
While waiting for approval:
- You can order products/services while your merchant agreement is being processed
- The application typically requires verification and risk evaluation by Vipps MobilePay
- You'll be notified by email when your application is approved
You can add products later after approval, but note that some services (such as recurring payments) may require additional risk evaluations and verifications.
After approval
Once you're approved, you'll receive an email with:
- Your sales unit name
- Your merchant serial number (MSN)
- Credentials for logging into the test app
Next steps:
- Log in to the business portal with your eID
- Set up API keys for production and test environments
- Begin integration and testing using the test environment
- Delegate access to developers and team members as needed
See: Sales units & account setup for information about managing your account and setting up additional sales units.
